A slow yoga with multiple benefits for the mental and physical. Accessible to everyone, Yin yoga is a mixture of yoga and meditation that allows you to relax deeply. A practice with multiple benefits for the mind, Yin yoga is a mix between yoga and meditation.
WHAT IS YIN YOGA ?
Popularized by Paul Grilley in the 90s, Yin yoga is a gentle yoga. A yoga inspired by Taoist thought and Chinese medicine, with Yin representing stillness and Yang representing movement. Yin yoga helps to slow down in its meditative approach. Unlike most other yogas, we do not want to strengthen muscles but to relax them by nourishing the facias. By remaining still, we improve communication with ourselves by accepting emotions and sensations when we hold stable and comfortable postures. A yoga that is becoming trendy due to the great need to slow down in a society that does not allow rest.
THE BENEFITS OF YIN YOGA
We strengthen the tendons, joints and ligaments and therefore flexibility. By maintaining the postures, we circulate the energies according to the principles of Chinese medicine and we learn to listen to ourselves in stillness, like meditation. The goal of this beautiful practice is to develop full self-awareness and self-healing. Even if it is not always easy to clear your mind during the session, you let your thoughts flow without judging and calm settles in naturally.
HOW TO PRACTICE YIN YOGA?
We practice different postures depending on the desired effect (detox, anti-stress, lower back pain, etc.), which we hold for between 3 and 5 minutes each, or more. Listen to your body and you needs. To practice Yin yoga well, there are four rules:
1. Completely relax your muscles.
2. Feel (without trying to set a particular intention as with stretching. Be careful, feeling does not mean suffering. As soon as the slightest pain occurs, you improve your posture to be better!).
3. Stay still.
4. Stay long.

In addition to these basic principles stated previously, essential oils are added to help in the relaxation process according to the theme of the session. We also appreciate supporting you in the acupressure system. A method similar to acupuncture which consists of stimulating energy points located on the path of the meridians by massaging them to fluidify the flow of vital energy which circulates in the body.
See you on the mat,
Love.
